Surfaces that live outside

Outdoor projects ask more of a surface than any kitchen: direct sun, standing water, and hard freezes every winter. We help you choose materials rated for exactly that, including granite, quartzite, and porcelain, and we will tell you honestly when a material belongs indoors instead.

From a new countertop on an existing grill island to a full outdoor kitchen, the process works the same way as every Leon’s project: measured on site, fabricated in our Bloomington shop, and installed by our team.

    Tell us what you are building around: grill, smoker, bar seating, or a full outdoor kitchen. We help finalize the layout and material.

    Measure

    We measure the island, walls, and appliance cutouts on site. Measure appointments are scheduled within a few short business days.

    Fabrication

    Your surfaces are cut and finished in our shop with edges and cutouts matched to your appliances.

    Installation

    Our team installs the finished surfaces and leaves your outdoor space ready for the season.

Outdoor Surface FAQs

Granite, quartzite, and outdoor-rated porcelain are the standard choices. Most quartz is not rated for prolonged direct sun, and we will steer you away from materials that will not hold up.
Yes. If the base structure is sound, we can measure and fabricate a new surface for it, including cutouts for your existing appliances.
We fabricate year-round and install outdoor projects whenever conditions allow. Spring and summer book up first, so earlier quotes get the best scheduling options.
Granite and quartzite benefit from periodic sealing, and porcelain is largely maintenance-free. We cover care for your specific material at installation.
